Dual band wireless access

Designed for cable broadband users, the P334U provides dual band 802.11g and 802.11a wireless connectivity. In addition to supporting 802.11g it supports the 802.11a band providing high speed and greater transmission quality to bandwidth relient applications such as IPTV, video and audio streaming.

Shared printer access and broadband connection

The built-in USB print server allows users to share a printer on a network without it requiring a host PC. With four auto-sensing, switched LAN ports and network address translation (NAT) routing, multiple users can access one broadband connection and share printing resource at the same time.

Robust Security

Provided with stateful inspection filtering for effective network protection. Default firewall settings mean all outgoing and incoming traffic in the protected LAN is checked. The firewall feature includes:
* TCP/UDP inspection
* Denial of Services (DoS) detection and prevention
* Real time alert, reports and logs

Manage bandwidth

Exclusive ZyXEL Media Bandwidth Management v2 (MBM v2) features included provides users with a comprehensive tool to smartly manage bandwidth for multimedia applications. Smart self learning and dynamic allocation of bandwidth features allow users to ensure that bandwidth is prioritised for important networking usage such as voice over broadband and multi-media streaming.

Improved user experience with Quality of Service

Features Wi-Fi MultiMedia (WMM), based on a subset of the IEEE 802.11e WLAN Quality of Service (QoS) draft standard, the P334U improves the user experience for audio, video and voice applications over a wireless network.

Multimedia applications (Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), video streaming and online gaming) are highly sensitive to bandwidth reductions and require stable data transfer rates. Quality of Service and Wi-Fi Multimedia defines four access categories (voice, video, best effort, and background) that are used to prioritize traffic to provide enhanced multimedia support.
