Dual Camera Xacti Lets You Shoot Both Photos and Videos Without Switching Modes

The Xacti CS1 features standalone shutter buttons that let you start shooting a photo or a video with a single thumb press. There's no need to press a separate mode switch, and you can even shoot photos and videos simultaneously.

In developing the Xacti series, SANYO focused on creating compact, extremely portable devices that can be carried anywhere, anytime, and used to record everyday moments. To make the new Xacti CS1 even more compact than previous models, SANYO developed a slim sensor module and a new super-slim lens. Its compact and lightweight dimensions-27 mm thick, 142 g, and 126 cc in volume-make the CS1 a new type of video camera; one so portable that it can dramatically expand your range of shooting situations. It doesn't have to be a special occasion – you can have fun shooting everyday stuff Camcorders.

Easily Captures Beautiful Full HD Videos

Despite its extremely slim and compact body, the Xacti CS1 can capture Full HD videos with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The slim, vertical design provides excellent ergonomics and usability. The CS1 records in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video format. As it's a single-file format, similar to that used for still photos, it's easy to use on PCs and on the internet. This format is fully supported by the latest Windows® OS, Windows 7, released in October 2009. Video files are displayed in the same thumbnail format as still image files. They can be played back directly with Windows Media Player; can be edited with Windows Live Movie Maker; and are Device Stage compatible. This makes the files even more convenient for use on computers.

285° Rotating, 2.7 –Inch Wide-Screen LCD

Brightness on the Xacti CG20's wide-screen LCD monitor can be adjusted to any of seven levels. Also, the monitor can rotate through approximately 285°, so you can easily position it at your preferred angle. This lets you keep your subject clearly in view, whether you're shooting high, low, or at yourself and your kids.

Accurately recorded audio is vital for videos. For clearly recorded audio that matches a given shooting situation, the Xacti CS1 offers three new microphone modes. Now when you zoom up close to your subject, the CS1 can minimize unnecessary ambient sounds and focus mainly on recording your subject's voice.

High Speed Processor and CMOS Sensor

For beautiful high-definition video recording, the Xacti CS1 reduces the effect of camera shake that typically occurs when you zoom in on a subject. SANYO's original digital image stabilizer is capable of automatically distinguishing between unintended camera shaking and deliberate pans and tilts.

Face Chaser

The Xacti CS1 is able to detect your subjects' faces instantly. Even if the faces move, the CS1 can follow them and adjust the focus and exposure. The Face Chaser function has been developed so that it can even follow faces from a side-on angle. Note: Face detection functionality depends on the subject and shooting conditions.

Easy Editing

The Xacti CS1 offers the convenience of editing Full HD videos on the camera itself. You can easily splice multiple clips into a single video, or cut unwanted footage. This feature is particularly useful when it comes to viewing slideshows and using your SD memory card capacity more effectively. Note: If there is insufficient free space on the SD memory card, you may be unable to perform editing functions.

38mm Wide-Angle Lens and 10x Advanced Zoom in HD

Despite its compact body, the Xacti CS1 lets you shoot Full HD video clips with clear and smooth motion. What's more, it features a 38 mm wide-angle lens that lets you capture beautiful images over a wider area. The wide-angle lens is complemented by SANYO's original 10x advanced zoom. Now you can shoot wider angles and capture more distant subjects-all in Full HD quality.
