Returns Policy

UK Surplus Central abide by all UK consumer legislation. You have under the distance selling regulations 14 days from the day of receipt to return any item purchased from our website that is unwanted for any reason providing you have not opened, used or defaced the item in any way.

Prior authorisation is required for ALL returns. This allows us to book your return in, and also check that if there is a fault with your item which could be easily solved we can tackle this and save your having to return the item.

• Please read the instructions on the bottom of the invoice on how to return the item to us.
• Fill in the returns slip with brief details of the problem plus your contact information and if you want a replacement or refund.
• Use the address at the top left of the invoice to send back to us.
• We will refund you the same way in which you made payment either in full plus your postage (for faulty or misdescribed items), or your return postage if you decide to opt for a refund. For items which are simply not required, we do not refund postage.
• Refunds are normally processed within 48 working hours, but occasionally may take a little longer. If you can not see your refund within a week AFTER we have received your item, please contact us.
• If there is anything else you are unsure about before you return the item, please call our customer services on 01530 833 077.

Items should be returned via standard parcels or first, or second class mail, which ever is least expensive. Items must be carefully packed and returned with all accessories, and original shipping invoice. Reimbursement of return postage costs will be at our discretion, see above, non faulty or fraudulently returned items will not have carriage costs paid. We recommend using signed for services for peace of mind.

Do not use insured or special delivery services unless specifically instructed to do so by ourselves, or where you are returning at your own cost, as we will not reimburse costs over and above standard postage charges.
